Blogging@Integrasco

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

We’ve started blogging at Integrasco.

The blog will mostly contain technology related topics and give a little insight into the research and development going on in the company. First out is a post covering replication of Apache Lucene search indexes. Add the feed to your RSS reader and you might learn something useful :)

JavaZone 2008

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

This year’s JavaZone is over and I am safely back in the office. My head full of new ideas and cool technology to have a further look at.

This year was my second at the conference and I must say it was even better than last year. Topics were great, most of the speakers were good and the whole conference felt like it had been very well planned. Of course you always curse those extremely interesting talks running at the same time in different tracks. Luckily all presentations will be available on the web with video in a month’s time :)
After this year’s conference, these are the topics I will spend a little time looking more into:

Looking forward to JavaZone 2009! :)

I’m destroying my Spore box

Monday, September 15th, 2008

I clearly did not do enough research before purchasing Spore about a week ago. Turns out the game is heavily protected with an evil DRM. Aparently the game can only be installed 3 times, after that you have to contact EA to unlock more installations and if the game is unable to contact the EA servers for 10 days the game is locked down.

I am ashamed to have gone out and bought this game, and I will now destroy my Spore box and then go download a pirated copy. Just because EA deserves a bloody kick in the butt.

Pictures will come.
